How to delete your Revio account
Last updated 25 October 2026
You can delete your Revio account and the data that comes with it at any time. Deletion is permanent: we cannot restore an account once it is gone.
In the app
- Open Revio and go to your profile.
- Open Settings and tap Delete account.
- Type your @handle to confirm, then tap Delete everything.
Your account is deleted immediately. If you signed in with Apple, Apple may ask you to confirm with your Apple ID first.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, email hello@explorerevio.com with the subject "Delete my Revio account" and include your @handle. Write from the email address your account uses if you can. If we cannot match your request to an account from that, we will ask you to confirm the account is yours before deleting anything, so nobody can delete someone else's account. We delete it within 30 days of confirming, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your profile: handle, name, bio, photo, date of birth and settings.
- Your sign-in details from Apple, Google or Facebook.
- Your ratings, with their notes, photos and videos.
- Your lists (Visit later included), follows, follow requests, blocks and reactions.
- Your notifications and the push tokens for your devices.
- Your Ask AI searches and the reports you filed.
What stays, and why
- Messages: conversations belong to everyone in them. The text of every message you sent is erased and shows as "This message was deleted". Group chats and polls you started stay with their members, credited to "Deleted user".
- Hangouts you hosted stay with the people you invited, with another member as host. Your own membership in hangouts is removed.
- Reports about you are kept after they are resolved, so a pattern of abuse stays visible.
- Analytics and crash reports are kept for our providers' retention periods. They identify you only by an internal ID, never your name, handle or email, and that ID leads nowhere once your account is deleted.
If you signed in with Facebook
From Facebook, Revio received your Facebook account identifier, name, email address and a link to your profile picture. We use them only to sign you in. Deleting your Revio account, in the app or by email as above, deletes all of them. To also remove Revio from your Facebook account, open Facebook's settings, go to Apps and websites, and remove Revio.
If you signed in with Apple or Google
Deleting your Revio account deletes what Apple or Google gave us. To also remove Revio from the account itself: on an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple, and stop using it with Revio. For Google, open your Google Account, go to Security, then Your connections to third-party apps & services, and remove Revio.
